Aftercare & Alumni

The part that lasts — community, check-ins, and a standing invitation, free for life.

ALUMNI · FREE FOR LIFE

Nobody graduates out of the community.

Finishing a program is a milestone, not an ending. Aftercare keeps the connections that carried you — weekly groups, periodic check-ins from your clinician, and a calendar of gatherings across Morris County. Whether you come every week or resurface after two quiet years, the door works the same way.

Who it’s for

Anyone who has completed PHP, IOP, or outpatient care with us.

Alumni in a hard stretch who want support before it becomes a relapse.

Family members looking for their own community and education.

People treated elsewhere who want a local aftercare home — just ask us.

What’s included

Alumni groups

Peer-led with clinical facilitation, focused on real life rather than early recovery.

Relapse-prevention refreshers

Short skills sessions when a season, job change, or anniversary raises the stakes.

Milestone check-ins

We reach out — you don’t have to be the one to ask for help first.

Family community

Ongoing education and support for partners, parents, and adult children.

Outdoor events

Hikes, walks, and volunteer mornings across Morris County’s parks and reservations.

Rapid re-entry

If you need clinical care again, we get you back in without starting from scratch.

Why aftercare matters

The first year is the work

Most setbacks happen after formal treatment ends. Staying connected is the single most practical thing you can do to protect what you’ve built.

Coming back isn’t failure

Plenty of our alumni step back up for a few weeks at some point. It’s a normal part of a long recovery, and we treat it that way.

Staying connected

01

Your last clinical week

We build an aftercare plan together before you finish — not after.

02

First 90 days

Weekly group plus scheduled check-ins while the new routine sets.

03

Long term

Come to what serves you. Events, groups, and the phone line stay open.

Insurance & cost

Aftercare and alumni programming is offered at no cost to anyone who has completed care with us — no insurance, no billing, no paperwork.

Out in the county

Where our alumni actually meet

Some of the best hours of recovery happen on a trail, not in a room. Events are open to alumni and their families.

Morning trail walk
First Saturday, monthly

Morning trail walk

An easy few miles on a local reservation trail, coffee after. Families and dogs welcome.

Alumni dinner & speaker
Third Thursday, monthly

Alumni dinner & speaker

A shared meal and a short talk from someone further down the road than most of the room.

Park volunteer mornings
Seasonal

Park volunteer mornings

Trail maintenance and cleanups with the county parks — service as part of recovery, not an add-on.
